For over twenty years Roger Federer’s clothing was sponsored by Nike but in 2018 he switched to Japanese clothing brand Uniqlo in a deal thought to be worth $300 million.
Federer has always had a very classic look, favouring crisp whites and clean lines. He frequently sports a bandanna headband to keep his hair out of his eyes.
When Federer was sponsored by Nike together they developed the “RF” logo which was emblazoned on his kit, however this design was owned by Nike and so at least initially he will no longer be able to use the “RF” logo on his Uniqlo range, although it is hoped that over time the rights will revert to him.
Roger Federer was sponsored by and wore Nike shoes for most of his tennis career.
In 2020 Roger Federer signed a deal with up-and-coming Swiss footwear brand On. Roger will not only wear the shoes but will also help with design and work as a brand ambassador.
Roger wore Nike shoes for the majority of his playing career, winning numerous tournaments in them.
He favoured the Nike Air Zoom Vapor X which are also a popular choice with other top players including Petra Kvitova, Grigor Dimitrov and Nick Kyrgios.
Nike Air Zoom Vapor X shoes are known for being especially light ensuring players can stay quick on their feet and responsive to the ball.

Roger Federer’s Racket
Like many top players Roger Federer uses a Wilson tennis racket, more specifically the Wilson Pro Staff RF 97 Autograph.
Originally Roger used the Wilson Pro Staff 90 which is a 90 inch racket but during 2013 when he was plagued by injury and poor form he looked to see if a different racket could improve his game.
Together with Wilson he developed the Wilson Pro Staff RF 97 Autograph or RF97A for short! This racket is more powerful and has a larger head.
Here are a selection of rackets similar to those used by Roger Federer himself:
